Setting up public folder path  en

Thanks for your reply about being able to use guestbook on every page. It helps knowing I can use it but I don't understand how to use it. Do I need to create a sql database and then direct the public folder path to the database somehow? Or do I need to create a comments folder in my directory and then direct the public folder path as /comments?  Tried the comments folder, set permissions as 777 and it still didn't work. Thanks for your help, wish there was more online explanation for guestbooks.

Nevermind, it was an easy fix and stupid of me to try and make it harder then it really was.  Just create a folder in your root directory where all your folders are, set the permissions to 777 and just type the folder name such as "comments" in your widget options for public folder path.  Very easy to do...
