Blurred Text in Menu Buttons when published

The Text in my menu buttons appears blurred when published and the picture in my header is blurred and my log is blurred when published. On the computer preview it all looks perfectly sharp but once uploaded it is blurry.
I cant seem to get it to sharpen. Also, sometimes, when i make changes to the unpublished version and then publish and overwrite the existing one, some of the pages do not update, they stay the same.
Can anyone help please?

I think the problem is more that the website is not being overwritten as I have uploaded a different style button to my website through the ftp within the program, but the website still shows the OLD site
Anyone had this before where pages are not updating?
Delete the files in the server and upload the entire site again, this will solve the problem.
