Hi,

With either V8 and V9 there was no option for a customer to view their shopping cart after they added the first item to their basket.

Then they continue shopping, and there is no way for them to go back to their shopping cart without adding another item.

I think it is a major problem. It may cause us to lose a potential customer.

After adding the first item to the basket and they go back to shopping, whichever page they are on there shoud be an indicator on that page shows which item is in their shopping cart, and a button for them to go back to the shopping cart without adding the second item.

Best Regards..

Hi Vedat!

You can solve this by adding for example an item in your header, for example text:

  • click on ''insert text'' and type in ''View shopping cart''
  • click on ''apply a link'' and choose ''View the shopping cart''.

Now test it. This will give your clients the opportunity to look directly in their shopping cart while they purchase from your website.

Very best regards to you! Smile

Hi Samantha,

I added such a link, and most of the time it works.

but sometime X5 surfs to http://....../cart/cart/index.html(where it does NOT work)

instead ofhttp://..../cart/index.html(where it does work)

it looks like this is a bug ?

(It sometimes happens after an extra product has been added or removed from the shopping cart)

I could temporary solve by making a manual link to the right directory

best regards,

Wim

Hello Samantha,

the url is

www.spring-produkties.be

but now everything works (because in the live environment I have found a work around the problem), but if I use the built in functinality of X5 v9, then the problem occurs (as it sometimes adds a subdir /cart/  -> so ....cart/cart/index.html of course is not found by the browser als only .../cart/index.html exists)

best regards,

Wim

Hello Samantha,

unfortunately now also an other problem occured with the 'view cart option'

the problem occurs since I choose the 'vertical accordeon menu' style for the leftside menu (with previous normal style it worked perfect without problems)

the problems = the lower part of the cart turns almost completely to black (see print screen attached)

if I slide the left menu a bit down and open a submenu (vertical accordeon menu style)then some extra lines will turn from black to normal color again, but the lower part still will remain black

best regards,

Wim

Godd evening to you!

Did you by any chance add HTML codes or scripts to your project?

Please try to create a new project and create an e-commerce website, then test it out and please let me know if you have the same errors.
Thank you.
