Gif-format as background

Hello!
I work with the Website x5 v8 Evolution-version and I want to add a gif-format and set this as my background. I think this isn't possible in this version, or am I wrong? Anyone knows of this is possible in the v9-version?

If you want this on all of your pages you can do this, but you have to create a custom template. There you can set a background image.
or convert your gif to a .bmp in "paint" ??
