With the death of Steve Jobs I'm hoping that Apple will make up with Adobe!!

Flash is here to stay my friend and will possibly get stronger in the future..... There are millions of companies using/making flash products and I don't think that anyone is going to drop this utility in the forseeable future do you?

With X5 at least you have the Custom Template to create an Apple compatible website!

I am very concerned about this. I understood that X5 uses Javascript and CSS, not Flash. Thi is really making me think again about buying Evolution 9.

It is a real pain that Apple devices are incompatible with an industry standard - Flash -  and I will not buy an Apple device again because of that.

BUT I understand that Flash websites are difficult for search engines to list and so websites using Flash suffer in SEO rankings???

Hi... following this conversations, I need to agree with Philip.

Flash starting slowly to disappear from websites. I faced, and I am still facing a problem with X5 and slideshow in flash...New version of X5 doesn't have slideshow in js a part of some solutions with gallery, but not slideshow which run automatically and it is in js.

I made several websites where even some well know browser doesn't read flash, and the space remind empty. Not nice... and customers are not very happy!

This website ( http://www.analyticom.de/prova ) use slideshow gallery in W5 and I wasn't able to watch it in firefox unti I installed Flash player... Not good!

Hello,

Flash is still very used in many websites all over the world and it starts having problems because of the 'match' against Apple. We introduced HTML5 with this version, but we could not remove Flash at all... as soon as HTML5 will be better supported by all browsers (note that only IE9 can do that really, and you cannot install IE9 on WinXP!) and Flash will be less used, we will do the same in WSX5. Wink
