Hello Randy,

WebSite X5 won't create a database. You have to create your users manually from Part 4 - Users and groups. If you want to allow automatic account creation your would need to use PHP and a hosted database. You would have to include your own code into HTML & Widget blocks.

Hope this can help Smile

Hello,

Please excuse any tipo, I am on the mobile phone. I would like to clear things before you spend too much time on this point. Those settings will allow storing data from forms (e-mail form for example).

I do not know if there is any tutorial discussing this point but I saw a part about in the WebSite X5 help file.

About the question you have:

Description: any word of your choice. This is for you to identify the database in lists of choices inside WebSite X5.

Hostname: the address of the database server. This is provided by your host. For example: rdbms.one.net.  it could be localhost only if you run your own server on your own machine.

Username and password: provided by your web host.
