Link Colours  en

Is there any way of stopping the "visited link" colour (in fact any type of link colour)?

Personally, I don't like "visited link" changes as it's a bit archaic now, I feel.

It tends to spoil the website colour schemata and , if one's not careful, the "visited" colours drown the original text in the link...lol!

If one CAN'T stop the colour, might I suggest that this option is programmed in a future update?

Hello Nigel,

This can be done in Step 4 Advanced Settings > Styles and Models > 'Text' tab...

Select 'Visited Link' from the 'Page Item' drop-down menu and use the 'Text Color' drop-down menu to fix your choice to match that of an active link.

Kind regards,

Paul

Hi Paul...

I thank you but that isn't what I require.

I want my links to retain their original colours, even though they've been visited.

Active links and "mouse hover" only show for the time a user is activating them.

A "visited link" stays within the memory for ever!

This can darken out certain texts, depending on the text/background schemata used.

Hi Nigel,

I'm struggling to grasp what you describe...  my apologies...

If you set the properties of both active and visited links to exactly the same colour, then from a visual perspective there is no onscreen difference, regardless of whether a link has been flagged as visited, and regardless of whether the browser has retained this information in the cache.

By setting both links to match the colour of your default body text, and by exercising the option to remove the underlining, then it's possible to almost completely disguise the links, whether active, visited, etc.

Sorry if I have picked you up wrong on this...

Best regards,

Paul

Hi Paul...

You're right.

I'm using multi-coloured highlighted text in places and the text seems blocked out by certain scenarios.

I'll try again.

Just wanting to know if the programmers can make an option or not.

Paul...Yes!

I played around with a more straightforward piece of text and the result is as you explained and as I wanted!

A senior moment, maybe...lol!

Thanks.
