how can I upgrade from version 8? Do I need to buy a new X5?

Hello Harry,

Yes, the current version is version 10.  Projects created with version 8 can be upgraded to version 10 by importing/exporting from v9  -  as you don't have access to a copy of v9 then I'm sure Incomedia would be willing to assist you with the file conversion.
