Adding to earlier comments, the project is not displaying properly and has a no preview image in the project selection section when i try to access it it says:

"An error occured while loading the Project.

[There is an error in XML document (665142, 62).]

Did you try to restore your backup that x5 automaticly made?

see this post for it: http://answers.websitex5.com/post/47713

Use x5 page 5 eport project yourself to create a backup on a different drive then x5, this way you will not lose a lot of work.

Hope this works for you.

No nothing has worked and I am disgusted. I had it backed up on my one.com cloud drive I always made back ups etc and  I still lost the lot I am currently re doing 2 months worth of work from my last export of my project. very unhappy indeed it appears to be down to three missing xml files that where obviously lost as the power cut the project was 5 seconds away from completing it's save when the power went. My advice to all users is to export your projects to a flash drive on a daily basis then at least you can import it back in to the program.

Not impressed guys
