Ok, I dont give up easily so I have tried something. I created a new project, test project and hurried along to Access Management and was successful. So, that means build the site again from scratch and it might work. Being a curious person I would prefer to know why I am getting this error when I hit Access Management. Do you follow. I hate the idea of starting all over again.

Ok, thank you for trying so hard! There definitely is something in your Evo 8 project that isn't compatible with Evo 9 as you can see.

Did you know that you can keep both Evo 8 and Evo 9 on the same computer and work with both at the same time? We need to understand what is giving you problems... did you add HTML code to your Evo 8 project?
Could you by any chance open your project with Evo 8 and tell me more or less what you have in it?

If not, simply send me your project to ''file@answers.websitex5.com'' and please add my name + this post number (8567) in the email object so that I may try to recover it for you.
Please let me know how you wish to proceed!

Samantha, thank you. With the help of an X5 expert all my problems are solved. He showed me the ins and outs of your programme. I can  say with honesty now thay my ranting and raving was my frustration and not honestly  to do with yor programme's faults.

They were my faults. So, I apologise again for casting aspersions and doubting the capabilities of EV9.  I have everything working now as it should. I'm sure there is more to learn and I will. Looking at the Blog, which I could never get working before, it is just perfect now. Everyone telling me about getting the path right to the root folder and stuff,  Hey! we sorted it. If it helps others, just make a new directory on your root folder(public_html) so that it looks like this:

public_html/comments/

dont worry about CHMOD too much. Leave it and test it.

You can find the path by simply copying this code into Notepad,

<?php$path=getcwd();echo"This Is Your Absolute Path: ";echo$path;?>

Save it and call it 'findpath.php'

Upload and navigate to it.

http://www.yourwebsite.com/findpath.php

Put the path in  where it is required and thats it.

Good work guys!

best wishes

Jed
