How can I stop google caching my website?

The answer already given is making no sence to me - can you please make it simpler to understand?

I have inserted the following meta tags -

<meta http-equiv = "expires" value = "Wed, 22 Dec 2009 12:00:00 GMT" />

<meta htto-equiv="Pragma" CONTENT="no-cache">

In the General settings before the Head Tag, but it makes no difference. Google is finding a page that is 2 years old. How can I stop this please?

if you dont want google to visit any of your pages, remove the page from your sitemap.xml  then remove the old sitemap and submit your new sitemap to google again.

generate a new robots.txt and dissallow google bot to visit those pages.

Thank you for these suggestions.

I want Google to find my current home page, and not a cached version of any of my pages. How can I do this using Incomedia Website software alone? Surely I cannot be the only person who is having this problem?

I don't know where I can find sitemap.xml to delete it. I don't know how to generate a new robots.txt. Any simple suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks

Sitemap

in general setting, click on the expert tab, then you will see at the bottom "Automatically generate sitemap" do not remove the checkmark, let it be there, because you have to submit that inside your google webmaster account.

go to step 2 and you will see list of your pages, for any page you do not wish to google index it you need to do following

select the page (on step2) then click on "properties" then click on the expert tab, then remove the checkmark from "Add this page to the sitemap"

Robots.txt

you are using evo10 version, this version can not create a robots.txt for you, only pro version is capabale to do that.

I attached robots.txt file for you, folow the open it with notepad and replace the example pages with your pages. any page you list here, google will NOT visit and will NOT index.

upload the robots.txt file in the root of you webhost (public_html)
