1. go to step4> shopping cart> then go to product tab, edit/create your product, then you will see the discount tab, choose your desire option (fix or % discount) then checkmark the coupon and simply type your coupon code over there.

2.go to step4> shopping cart>options, then check mark the "enable coupon" and make your desire setting.

you would be able to test your coupon code in preview.
