I once used them as news banner, put the latest info's in different tab.s (for every news or itresting item added to the webpage I made a different tab. it scrolls on top of your page or you can go with your mouse to a specific item.

I don't know, some sites have information where the tabs are very usefull for.

It all depends. You got the possibility with x5 to create multiple texts that scroll and / or can be selected by user within a small space, so all kind of information / application uses are there.

Another example could be: In a shop you could create some special offer and set a link in it to the store.

But it's up to you I have about 10 sites, just on 1 I use the tabs option.
