Website X5 Evolution 12 is not working on win 10 on a laptop with i7 procesor  en

Hello and a good day!

I have Website X5 Evolution 12 with license installed on a laptop a week ago with processor i7, nvidia mx150, 4 ddr, 1000gb and is not working at all.

  1. The program is barely open after 5-10 min.
  2. I create a page on website x5 Evolution 10, I imported in the new program. The program open the project, I go to change an image, is changing, but if I request preview is not changing the page and the program is suddenly close.
  3. If I try to save any small modification (creation of a new page or change of a image/text) the program is suddenly close on 7-10% of saving.
  4. If I try to upgrade the project, without saving or generate the preview any small modification (creation of a new page or change of a image/text) the program is suddenly close.
  5. If I try to upgrade the project, without saving or generate the preview any small modification and is not closing is saying to contact the internet provider because is unable to connect. The message appears in conditions of active connection on internet and the settings verified.

I mention that I close also the antivirus for test, in case that some settings were blocking the access on internet. Please let me know what can be done to use the program.

I mention that I have the 12 version in condition that I brought the license for version Compact 10, after the license to upgrade to Evolution 10. Those were installed on my old laptop and when I tried to install on the new one I receive the message that I can’t use the Compact license because was upgraded, and I can’t use the Evolution 10 license because is an upgrade. So, now I have 3 license and no working program.

Hi Ana-Cristina,

If you already tried to repeat all of this with both Antivirus and Firewall off and noticed no benefit, let's proceed to verifying that every dependency is correctly installed and running:

C++

Download the Visual C++ 2013 installer available on following link (you need to download the x86 version also if the OS is 64bit):
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784
In case this should not help try to use before this repair tool http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30135 and then try again to start WebSite X5.

Also reinstall both x86 and x64 versions of the following:

2010 - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5555
2012 - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679
2013 - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784
2015 - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

.NET

Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off
Clear the check box for Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 and then click on OK. Clear also the check box for Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6 and then click on OK. 
After Windows disables the feature you will need to go back to re-enable Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 and 4.6 and then click ok.

Try all of this, and reinstall the program.

Hello and a wonderful week!

I have done the installation of C++, verified the .NET and still I can’t follow what is the reason for not working.

After I installed again the program, I made a change of a poster; I gave “Upload on internet” and it was coming the message that said that appeared an error and the programme and the project will close by making a temporary save.

In attachment is a print screen with the constant message and to see also the closing of firewall.

Hi Ana-Cristina,

I take it the previous problems were solved then? Or are those still happening?

This issue you're reporting now has nothing to do with the software itself really. It just means that you're not inserting the correct FTP data into the Step 5 in order to export the website.

You can check your FTP credentials directly on your hosting, as well as the path to the folder where you need to export it.

Please consult your hosting in order to get this information and try again
