This coulld all be because of a bad connection to your databse.

check if the database still works, if this work correctly (adres/ password and name) then the update button should do his work. That might also be the reason why your stock items where wrong.

Can it be that your host has some trouble and the database at your host is bad or takes too long to be accesed?

This is where i would look for in first place, your databse at your host.

Are you able to creat another? just check and see, it might also be temporarely if the problem occurs at the hosting company it might be that later after they have corrected this it all works again.

Thanks, it seems to be working now, its connecting now.

Is it possable that when i updated Website x5 that the program put all that items that had stock levels to a defult of stock available, when i changed it to number of stock and did a update from the database it fixed all the stock levels 

I don't know, possibilitys are always there, i can't judge them from here.
But way more realistic is the possibility that the database at your host was not available or scrambled. I stay with my opinion that it was a glitch on the connection or something at your host.

Anyway, it's solved so let's continue.
