FYI
Just as when v2022.2.6 was released, Windows Security Firewall (Win10) again blocked WX5, this time when attempting upload to the web.
Please be aware of this, and in case it helps I fixed the problem the same way I did in this post https://helpcenter.websitex5.com/it/post/252014
I opened windows security, turned off ALL firewalls and restarted. I could now upload my site. I then turned the firewall back on and restarted the PC, when I ran WX5 I got a message advising the firewall had blocked some functionality of WX5, I selected Allow Access and WX5 works as expected.

Daniel, as in the past, some people are not affected by WX5 being blocked in any way. I am pleased it works on your Win11 installation.
Same here with Win10, v2022.2.9. FTP uploads not possible. Error message: "Cannot connect to server. Target directory error".
WebsiteX5 is not blocked by firewall and the FTP connection can be established with third party FTP program without problems.
Please investigate.

Krisztián, please open Windows security and turn off all firewalls, restart WX5 and again attempt upload (my WX5 install did not appear to be blocked either). If it still fails then sadly something has gone wrong with your FTP configuration and we may need to investigate. To my knowledge there is no known issue with the WX5 FTP process although various firewalls, AV and Malware products have taken exception to the new code.
Please turn the firewalls back on after testing.
Hi! Thanks for the reply. I have turned my firewall off but nothing changed. WX5 says, my target directory on the server is false (this was "/" until now. I can even navigate on the ftp server manually and select the target directory with the full server-side path (so the connection itself seems to be technically absolutely okay), but after that, when I try to upload with that path setting, WX5 says, the directory doens't exist on the server. My last succesful ftp upload with WX5 was about 4-5 days ago.
I use the same FTP settings in another software, without any issues, but it's annoying to upload my website data that way.
My antivirus has firewall exception (no limitations) for BrowserSubProcess.exe, WebSiteX5.exe and imUpdate.exe
What can we do?
Have you tried restarting Windows with "Restart"?

Krisztián, do you have this option to open, browse and verify the destination just before you commence upload? (I no longer have Evo version so I cannot check for myself sorry). If you click this button does the expected destination open?
@Esahc..: This feature is present and working in Evo version 2022.2.9.
Yes, it is there and I can navigate on the ftp server manually with it and select the target directory with the full server-side path. When I do it and want to start the upload process, WX5 says, that the target directory does not exist and whether I would like to create it. But how can I select something, which does not exist?
What should I do?
I have the same problem as Krisztian, last succesfful was 11 september
Meanwhile, I have tried to step back to the previous version 2022.1, with no luck.
Potentially, the project data got corrupted.
I could eventually manually modify the project configuration data. Some ideas where to look for?

There appears to be a number of people now with this issue but most appear to be hosting through one.com
Who are you using to host your website?
I have also tried to open a backup version of my project, but even that's not working.
The issue might be somewhere else, but fact is, only WX5 cannot upload FTP data to server, so it is not related to the server provider.
I don't know, what to do.
Yes, m yprovider is also one.com
I am using Total Commander as a second FTP tool, with no problems.
I hope, there will be soon a solution to this issue.
I have looked at the other opened forum topics with this issue.
For me, the suggestion to remove the "/" from the 'Destination folder' solved the problem.
The upload process shows the full server path for each file during the upload, which is a bit weird for me, but I don't care, it works at least.
I am a bit relaxed now. :-)
