Unfortunately this is not possible, directly.  Only X5 projects from version 9 onwards can be imported into v11.  Also, Incomedia have recently withdrawn support for version 8 as it is now a rather old version:

However, some members of the community offer help in converting projects into the correct format, for the benefit of other users.  Andre, one of the Moderators, has a facility on his test site to upload project files for conversion.  See here for details:
