Tables import sort  en

I have data in excel that I want to put into a table in X5.

It seems for me that the system does not allow an import or a pase function  - You have to put data in manually !

Question 1 : Is this correct ?

I then invested in the csv-viewer. This is a kind of solution to that problem ( although I really mean that the programs standard table should receive a paste )

The csv viewer is only  a Beta-version I think ?

It cannot sort on fields that contains dates written as dd-mm-yyyy. All sorting seems to be a simple sort.

You cannot search in the data. You can use the browsers search function - but - only if You not use the paging function - and when you choose not to use the paging, then the viewing does not keep the headlines in top.

Question 2 : Are someone working on a better version of the viewer, or does anyone have a smart solution ?

Kind regards

John

Hello John,

Excel data needs to be entered manually in the program.

A better solution in your case, would be to use a database to handle the data and then use or a custom HTML code to display this data or the dabase viewer object.

You can also embed a google docs excel file in a page by adding the embed code in the HTML code object.

Exacel tables are not meant to work websites since these use functions which are normally not present on the HTMl standard and it requires further code to make them work.

Many thanks!

Hello Claudio

I used the google drive.   http://www.bramminginfo.dk/cottages/cottage-oversigt.html

It functions rather well, and I can have users switch between tabs in a document.

What bothers me, is that You (Incomedia ) charges for products, that others deliver for free and these products are even miles away in functionality.

You also have the "full calendar". Whenever I can, I will promote the luxcal calendar instead as it is 10000 times better as the "full calendar". I really mean that You should make clear to us users, that the "full calendar" is NOT a calendar - it is an ics-viewer, AND that there are really good calendars available for free - the LuxCal calendar.

I have most of Your widgets, and I must say that the object/widget, that gives most functionality in relation to the investment, is the "database viewer". Thumbs up for that, even if it can be improved.

Wasn't it an idea, that You made a simple "object" that put the LuxCal calendar in an iframe ?

Kind regards

John

Hello John,

In the description it writes it shows the calendar after importing an .ics file.

You can open an Idea post to suggest it so the developers will take it in consideration.

Many thanks!
