Continous Audio Player For Website X5 E13  en

Hi,

Hope one of you very helpful WebsiteX5 users may be able to solve a problem.

I am trying to find a continuous audio player that plays music, uninterrupted, when navigating through all of the web pages of one of my websites that I have created with WebsiteX5 Evolution13.

http://www.beckybennett.info/

I was informed about SCM Player,at  https://scmplayer.co/ which is very, good but I cannot get it to work within Website X5.

I would like the player to be full width and remain static, and visible at all times, at the top, or bottom, of each web page as you navigate therough the website: just like the SCM Player does.

If anyone knows how to get SCM Player to work within WebsiteX5, or knows of any other really good continuous audio players that will work in Website X5 then it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike.

Hello Mike

I have a testsite ( will later be deleted ) here : http://www.bramminginfo.dk/brm03/oversigt.html

I put the audioplayer on this site.

Is this what you mean ?

Or is it something special that is not possible ?

Kind regards

John S.

I have also a testsite here : http://www.bramminginfo.dk/brm02/

Where I have put the player.

This site have a wow-slider and some html-code ( the clock ) and all seems to function.

The only thing the player affects, is that I have in top a fullscreen on/off. This button is not active any more.

But full-screen is still awailable via the F11.

Please give some feedback when you have seen the sites, as I want to remove the player again.

Kind regards

John S.

Hi John S,

Thank you so much for taking the time to look into the SCM Audio Player problem for me - which, unfortunately, I could not get to work on one of my websites:

http://www.beckybennett.info/

Thanks, also, for the demonstration of the audio player on two of your websites.

I have gone into much greater detail about this problem in other posts, such as the post I have linked to below.

https://helpcenter.websitex5.com/pl/post/186384

Therefore, as you will be able to take a look at the post in question and, in order not to take up too much of your time now, I will try and keep this post as brief as possible.

Firstly, John, in answer to your question - where you demonstrated the SCM Audio Player - you said  "Is this what I mean".

Well, the answer to that question John is a definite 'Yes'.

I see that you have used the exact 'SCM Audio Player' for your demonstration that I, unfortunately - through a lack of experience - have been unable to get to work on my own webite.

I also see that you have implemented the exact same specifications for the colour scheme, and songs, I chose in order to generate the code - which is brilliant, and very thoughtful of you - as I can now see, by your demonstrations, that the exact SCM Audio Player that I would like to create - will actually work on a website created with WebsiteX5 Evolution13.

However, I cannot get the SCM Audio Player to work for me.

****************************************************************

Here is what I do - and I will try and make it as brief, and succinct, as possible.

First, I create the audio player in scmplayer.net - whereby I choose the option of linking to You Tube music videos.

The player performs perfectly in the scmplayer.net website.

I then copy and paste the code created in the scmplayer.net website to the Home Page of my website - exactly where I am instructed to do so - which is directly below the <body> tag.

However, when I then open the Home Page I am presented with a blank white page.

If I remove the SCM Player code then the Home Page displays perfectly again.

I have tried this on a couple of websites I have created.

Without the SCM Player code inserted into the html the websites display perfectly.

With the SCM Player code inserted into the html the websites just display a blank white screen.

I can only assume that the SCM Player code generated, when creating the player at scmplayer.net is missing some salient snippet of code in order for it to work with websites created with WebsiteX5 Evolution13 or that the structure of websites created with WebsiteX5 Evolution13 does not allow for the SCM Player code to work.

*****************************************************************

As I thought it might be down to how the code was being entered, I have tried entering the code directly within the 'body' section of the WebsiteX5 program - and also indirectly - by adding the code manually to the <body> section of the HTML - directly below the <body> tag - after the website has been exported as HTML file.

I also thought that the problem may be with the fact that I have three other external codes - not generated within WebsiteX5 Evolution 13 on the Home Page - such as The Wow Slider, The Amazing Audio Player and The Countdown Timer - and that somehow one of these codes may be causing a conflict with the SCM Player code.

But I have also, as an experiment, created a basic website with WebsiteX5 Evolution13, with none of these external codes added, and still the SCM Player will not work.

Whatever I do John, if I add the SCM Player code then when I try to open the Home Page all I get is a blank white screen.

When I remove the SCM Player code everything is back to normal.

**************

I have looked at a couple of other full width continuous audio players on the Envato Code Canyon website and, although after looking at thier demos on the Code Canyon website and finding them to be okay, they take up too much space on a web page for my needs. Also, when they are active, and depending on where you place them, they cover some of the 'Header' or 'Footer' content - whereas the SCM Player sits above, or below, the  'header' or 'footer' and doesn't intrude on the content of the page whatsoever.

Also, I am unable to try out demos of these audio players as there are no trial versions and I do not want to waste money purchasing an alternative audio player to the SCM Audio Player that may still not work.

**************

Apologies, John, I said I would keep this brief and I have rambled on again.

It's just that I am very appreciative of the fact that you have taken the time to show me that the SCM Player will actually work on a website creted with WebsiteX5 and am delighted that I may be able to actually get the SCM Player to work on my websites.

To get to the point..at last. LOL.

The SCM Player is definitely the audio player that I would like to add to my websites.

Therefore, finally John, after this long winded reply to your post, I would be extremely grateful if you could point out exactly where I am going wrong and also advise me about how to get the SCM Player to work - as I would also like to add the SCM Player to another website of mine:

http://www.keedie.info/

that I am currently in the process of adding the Wow Header Slider to - along with applying a whole range of new updates.

Thanks very much again for your post.

Best regards,

Mike.

Hello Mike

I will try to keep it short wink

The examples I made is made with v14. To be sure I also made an example with v 13.

http://www.bramminginfo.dk/vinklub3/

But it should function in all versions.

You put the code here :

It is under 1 - settings - advanced - Statistics SEO and Code - expert tab.

Hope you have it to function

Kind regards

John S.

Hi John,

Thanks again for your input - and this is the last I will say about this SCM Player problem now: as I am finding the code's inability to perform for me, when exported as a HTML file, all too frustrating - and I do not want to inconvenience anyone in the Help Centre any further.

I guess it is my problem and - as KolAsim put it - "Now it's up to me."

However, here is the situation in brief....

Firstly

As instructed on the SCM Player website....

I have tried entering the Scm Player code in the 'Body' section within the Website X5 program.

I have also tried entering the Scm Player code externally to the 'Body' section of the html after exporting the files to disc.

Secondly

As instructed by you, John....

I have tried entering the Scm Player code in the 'Head' section within the Website X5 program.

I have also tried entering the Scm Player code externally to the 'Head' section of the html after exporting the files to disc.

My findings are as follows:

In both cases, when entering the SCM Player code into either the 'Head' or the 'Body' sections when in Website X5, the SCM Player works perfectly when viewed in the WebsiteX5 'Preview Section'.

However, when both versions of the website are then exported to disc and the relevant  'Index Pages' opened in Firefox, or Chrome, the page just flashes and then remains blank.

In regards to KolAsim's post.

Apologies if I have misunderstood one of your previous posts. It was written in another language that I had to enter into Google Translate to decipher and, therefore, I wasn't quite clear about what exactly you were requesting.

Your other post just seemed to be displaying links to previous posts of mine where I had requested similar assistance regarding the same problem.

I can assure you, however, that I do read the posts and, as you can see by the amount of effort I put into answering posts, and not just entering a two line message, that I put a lot of thought into it - and really do appreciate the assistance I have been offered by both you, and John.

Finally, if it helps both you, and John, I have created a two test websites - using a template where I only added a title to the Home Page. I did this so that there was nothing else added to the page that could conflict with the SCM Player code.

I have created a zip file containing two Project Files - one with the SCM Player code in the 'Head' section and one with the SCM Player code in the 'Body' section. Both of these versions work perfectly when viewed in the Preview Pane within Website X5 but, at 7.75MB - the zip file is too big to attach to this post.

If there is a way to send this zip file to either yourself, Incomdia, or John, then please advise and I will send it.

In the meantime I have attached just the Index Page HTML files - where the SCM Player code was added to the 'Head' and 'Body' sections respectively - just so that you can see where, and how, the code was added.

So, in conclusion, and just to be clear.

When adding the SCM Player code to the 'Head' or 'Body' sections of the website, and viewing the website in the WebsiteX5 Preview, then both versions work perfectly.

However, when both versions of the website are then exported to disc and the 'Index page' opened in either Firefox or Chrome, the page just flashes briefly and then remains blank.

Thanks again

Best regards,

Mike.

Sorry,

Zip file regarding the SCM Player issue did not attach to the previous post for some reason.

Here it is now.

Thanks.
