GDPR is a new regulation that is coming into force in the EU.

However, where can I read the official information from WebsiteX5 - and what to do with my websites?

There is an object in x5 that can create a text for you (iubenda privacy policy) object.
Find it in the top right in x5 object management and then update that page, it is under utility.
But I was not impressed by it. The GDPR regulations also depends on the data you collect, if you have a website withour google analytics, captcha, email form or blog, you don't collect data and then it is a very simple privacy policy statement you need to add on your website. These can be found on internet easily. (just for cookies)

There are also some generators that create a good privacy policy.
If you gather personal data then you have to inform customers how you process them and how long you keep them, and that they can ask the data you have and that they can ask you to remove it... well I can go on but on internet there are more clear explainations about what you need to write for the visitors of your site. So again check on internet about more details.

I have most of my sites covered in the meantime but to be honest it is not a very nice regulation, but we have to deal with it unfurtunatly.
My advise in short: check and read on internet create a privacy policy using a generator on internet and adjust it a little bit to your personal situation and place it in the footer of your website.

as Andre suggested, you can use Iubenda service to adapt your privacy policy.
For the companies, the GDPR implies that:
1)The invoicing data (and related data alike) must be stored for 10 years. The administrative and accounting departments will be responsible for this aspect.
2)The users must be able to modify or delete their own data, which does not mean that they must have access to a special graphic interface to directly do this. In fact, it is enough to report in the Policy that they can get in touch with the company to ask for data modification or removal, possibly using a special e-mail address.

What do I have to do about a cookie widget for GDPR, some companies are saying that just having an accwpt button is not good enough, any ideas?

Maybe Incomedia can answer this, I think they only use cookies needed for the website to work and no other cookies, so you can set a text like that and it should be enough.
But maybe Incomedia can confirm here? Or in the other topic?
