Can someone, please, give detailed instructions on replacing hamburger menu with an image?

This post didn't prove that it is possible in ver17. There is a place to specify an image but nobody showed how to do it. Is it at all possible? In that post was only showed how to do it using additional code, (what I do), but I would prefer to use this feature within the WSX5.
