Since upgrading to the new version 2019.2 I am having problems inserting images into text boxes from my PC files. Basically, most of the time the insert process doesn't work.

Any ideas?

Hello David,

Could you be a little more specific as to what exactly happens when you try to insert an image into a Text Object?

I cannot reproduce this in 2019.2.5 and to the best of my knowledge there have been no similar reports of such an error thus far.

Further detail would be much appreciated.

Kind regards,

Paul

Hello.

  1. Temporarily try disabling your antivirus and firewall.
  2. Try to update .NET Framework.
  3. Make a full backup of all your projects, delete the program and reinstall it.Download the program from your personal account on this site.

Thank you both for your replies, and to Aleksej for his advice.  I will try out the advice given by Aleksej today. To answer to Paul's question. When clicking the insert image in the textbox system, then clicking on the image to insert, the system returns to the text-box editing page, but the image does not appear. Thank you both once again.  I will report back when I have tried out Aleksej's advice.

David, please ensure you have recently restarted your PC/laptop. I have had similar issues when Windows chose to do background updates (I could not even copy and paste)

Thanks Esach. I've followed Aleksej's advice, and so far no improvement. I have tried restarting my PC several times with no success. My next step is to try it on my other PC to see if it is a specific problem with this PC. I will report back.

Are the images in question on a local drive, or a network drive?

Hi everyone. You'll be pleased to know that I've self-solved the problem, and that it was not specifically connected to Website X5. By a process of elimination I found that I had inadvertently included a # symbol in the title of the images that I was trying to add. By removing the # symbol, the images loaded perfectly OK. I'm sure that most of you will say that everyone knows not to use a # in an image title. But being self-taught in these matters, I didn't! Up to now! Thanks for all your help and sorry for putting you to any trouble.
