TOOL TIP fun & games  en

Hi,

there is a "glitch" when the user skips to check the checkbox to accept the terms and regulation during the ordering process (FINAL STEP). The TOOL TIP is positioned OVER the checkbox - which prevents the user to click into the checkbox....

Pls. see the att.

The same TOOL TIP position-issue bugged me in the CONTACT FORM - so I have switched to INTERNAL MESSAGE type of notification.

Can I select the same type of notification for the ORDER PROCEDURE as well?

In step2 you can set tooltip preferences, sometimes it comes up wrong indeed but ths depends a lot on every page / website.

Note that the pop adjust works for the complete website, so setup the places you use it and the window direction good up so it works everywhere correct.

see also the manual: https://help.websitex5.com/en/v2019.2/pro/stile_tooltip.htm

Goodluck!

Hi Andre,

Sorry, my post could be a bit misleading - I was not talking about the regular TOOLTIP (mouse over tooltip).

I was talking about the "automatic" message (in a tooltip style) in case of error or missing the user information in the contact form or in the ordering process.

In my case, it's the empty "check-box" that it needs to be checked...pls. see the att. above.

In this case the "pop-up" message covers the actual checkbox and prevents the user for actually checking the box!

I was thinking - can I select some other method of pop-up message?
(like in the contact form object options- I can choose to use the INTERNAL MESSAGE type of notification which would not cover the check-box)

Or, even better, edit the position of this message (move it a bit up and on to the right)?

Andre, thank you in advance for replying!

Hi Sinisa

After testing again I can confirm what Andre reported.

The "Tooltip on mouseover" menu at Step 2 controls the style for that kind of tooltip as well.

In my test, by using the default options for the tooltip, it isn't appearing directly above:

Is your page currently online perhaps? I could test more directly there

Please keep me posted on this

Thank you

Stefano

Hi Stefano,

You're right - the TOOLTIP is not directly over the checkbox - but it's "tricky" (for me) to click in it. It takes me 3-4 clicks before I manage to checked it...

You can try it for yourself on my page here (it's in Croatian but I believe you can manage to click the right buttons):

www.izradawebshopa.eu/demoshop

I'll try to change the TOOLTIP position if Andre is right.

@ Stefano

I have "experimented" with the TOOLTIP position - and find the one position where the TOOLTIP is not so close to the checkbox.

But, still, there should be more space between the TOOLTIP and the box - at least a 10 pix margin.
