If you don't tick the Tag 'Title' option then WebSite X5 will use whatever you have in the Page Title field and reproduce this in the Tag 'Title' by default.

In many cases this is fine.

The Page Title is what your web visitors will see, whereas the Tag Title is used by Google for indexing purposes.  Often these will be very similar or even identical.  But if for any reason you want to 'fine-tune' the title which the search engines will use then you can tweak it using the Title Tag.

Yes, use commas to separate keywords.

So for instance if i tick the title tag.

And any text i a put in the  Tag description 

Is this what Google will use as this is what i am trying to achieve.

So people will see what i have written in the tag description.

I'll try and explain further.

In the screenshot below the text in the red box is the Page Title, the text in the yellow box is the File Name.

The Tag 'Title' is often similar or identical to the Page Title, and it is the Tag 'Title' which Google (and other search engines) will often choose to index and display in search results.

BUT...  and this is a huge but...

Google doesn't have to use anything that you enter in the Tag 'Title'.  Google will look at your page titles, descriptions, keywords, meta tags, anchor link text, media files, even incoming links from other websites, before deciding what to display as snippets in the search engine results.

Yes, you are right to focus on that tag in one respect, but it is a tiny part of the overall picture.

As a rule, try and harmonise all the bits and pieces referred to above so that they make a cohesive whole.

One or two (or even three) of your best keywords should be in your Tag 'Title' though.
