Hello everybody,
I am making an online shop and i put as a payment method paypal. My question is, why when i click the pay now button, at the last step in cart page, at the paypal page that i redirect do not give me the option to pay with credit card except the with paypal account or to create an account?
My paypal account is created as a business account. What extra steps do i have to do to give the credit card option? Does someone knows how to do it or give me a link? Are there any settings that i have to change in my paypal account?
I have WebsiteX5 v19.2
Many thanks in advance.
Cris

Hello, the possibility of paying by credit card should be automatic, strange that in your case it will not be shown.
Hello Cris,
The wording of the Payment Type options in WebSite X5 is a little ambiguous at the moment.
PayPal includes the possibility of paying by credit card in addition to an existing PayPal balance. However, the option to do so appears only after a web visitor has logged into their PayPal account, or created a new one and logged into that. Nonetheless in WebSite X5 this Payment Type is designated PayPal/Credit Card.
If, however, you wish to present to your web visitors the possibility of paying by credit card with no reference to PayPal whatsoever, or as an alternative option alongside PayPal at the WebSite X5 payment option stage in checkout, then you should add a new Payment Type to the default WebSite X5 ones by choosing Custom Code. You can then add custom code from your credit card payment provider to the HTML Code for 'Pay Now' Button field within WebSite X5.
Note that at the time of writing only the most basic credit card payment gateways can be integrated with WebSite X5 in this way. The vast majority of credit card providers have more complex APIs which will require assistance from a web programmer to incorporate them within WebSite X5 successfully and just as importantly, securely.
Kind regards,
Paul
