First of all - thank you for the search function in the cart.
Then to my litle problem.
Is it possible to view more than 5 categories?
As it is now it somehow becomes half way and all products do not appear in the search function if you do not search manually.
Are there any settings or similar that I've missed?
Hope someone can answer me.

hello Christine.
It's been a while, all is well?
You have only 5 shown if more then you get an option to show these ass well with a more button.
But if you make sub category's you get an arrow and then all sub's are shown.
Hopefully this helps if you want all shown directly then let me know I will set this post as an IDEA post in that case.
Hello CHristine,
It looks like that in my test and I confirm what Andre writes:

Thanks, Andre E - here's all good despite the "chaotic" situation the world is in at the moment. Hope the same applies to you!
As for the search function, it would have been much more functional if there were possibilities for more than 5 choices on the search page.
With only 5 and price searches (I have about 10 categories / departments on both domains I manage and some of them have subcategories as well. The subcategories of those listed - are displayed, but the rest are not displayed ...) , the products appear quite arbitrary to the customers and the sorting of products is not complete based on my tests.
Some product groups are not displayed and searched manually, so a whole lot of unimportant pops up and the search does not become specific enough.
For example, I've checked everything except availability, but then only 5 of the store categories appear on the actual search page, while the rest is "invisible" - if you understand what I mean?
If I then try to manually search for one of the categories that is not among the 5, then I get a lot of other products and not just what is in the category searched.
But I might try to be patient and hope that there will eventually be more "adjustment" possibilities ;)

FABER Danielle, that's probably the way it looks to me too, but since I have many more main categories, only about half of the options appear in the search list.
Hello Christine,
You can make some adjustments on the search, goto the special pages in step 3 and use the e commerce option for the search (there are 2) I think Incomedia should rename them now they appear to be equal.
Any way, let me know if i need to set it as IDEA post or if the workaround or options you have are sufficient.

I have added and customized everything that can be customized in the special page - also how the product cards should look on the search page, but the number of categories displayed I do not get changed since there seems to be 5 by default in the program.
I hope for more parameters to be entered gradually.
Thanks for your help so far!
Christine,
I test with a new project and for me all the catagories are visible (5 and See more... for the others).
Could you try again ?

Danielle

From one of the sites.
You should have a more button for the catagorys.
Do you have PHP 7.2 or higher at your host? Please check the admin panel of your host and set it to at least 7.2
If this still does not work do a full upload, then check website and refresh.
The button like Fabre has i also have so this should work for you as well Christine.
Hope you will get it after check of the above.

I had 7,2 but now I have set it to 7,4.
The thing is that there are no more options within the program than what is displayed on the page.

Thanks for your help!
After searching a little and trying out a bit - I found out what was wrong.
I simply had to sort the products again and in a slightly different way than it was before.
Ok nice.
Thanks for the feedback!
and a nice w-end.
