My search function (see Capture L2.jpg) in www.Logistics-Consultancy.co.uk has stopped working, I get an error message (see Capture L.jpg)

123-Reg host the website & responded to my complaint with:

"Hi William,
I have checked the error logs of logistics-consultancy.co.uk and the folowing error is triggered:
 logistics-consultancy.co.uk [Tue Jul 28 15:51:12 2020] [error] [client 82.2.224.58:0] AH01215: PHP Parse error:  syntax error, unexpected ':', expecting ';' or '{' in /home/cluster-sites/5/l/logistics-consultancy.co.uk/public_html/res/x5engine.php on line 3186: /home/cluster-sites/5/l/logistics-consultancy.co.uk/public_html/imsearch.php
The error above indicates a misconfiguration within the site's scripts. Please check the error from your end in order to find and fix any scripting related matters."

Is there a fault in the Website X5 Search Field script?

Hello Bill,

What version of PHP is currently installed on the server which hosts this website?

Version 2020 of WebSite X5 requires PHP version 7.1 (or higher) in order to operate correctly:

Version 2020.1 requires PHP 7.1

From some tests I have carried out on your website it looks as if this is not the case at the moment.  So the problem is on the hosting side, rather than anything to do with the WebSite X5 scripts.

Kind regards,

Paul
