Now seriously. When I start up Website X5 I get reminded, that I should buy a new license so I can download updates. I get that. What I don't get is, when I buy a new license through the provided link at the startup page, I manually have to login to the Incomedia Website to enter the license key and then the outdated software does not get that I bought a new license. It wants me to buy one over and over again.
How about inplementing an automated process? Do I have to manually install the new version over the old so I get the new updates?
Thanks!

Hello Annette,
If you bought a new licence you can download the install here, top right next to your name pulldown -> download.
Every main version keeps working (i have almost all version from v5 untill now installed) So you can keep using the old version and the new next to eachother if you wish, or set them all over to the new one and delete the old one.
you bought it so it yours for always, and yes if you start a new version it will look for newer version and mention that to you, but if you click continue or next (like you always need to) it will continue anyway, so it's not an ectra handling or so. And you keep yourself to choice what version when to use....
I hope this helps.

It's just so overly complicated. Additionaly, the license-key is not in the user account with the software download. Why? Just does not make sense that one has to log in to the help center user account after buying a new license, to enter the license there and after download you have to enter the license AGAIN?
Frustrating. Really is...

No really - in present way you could choose when do you activate your licence - for example after publishing a new version.
The same is with credits - you could buy when price is competitve and activate when you need (licence for updating programm is valid 1 year from activation, and credits also are valid one year from activation, not from buying them).
That would be a hugh safety risk, you don't want to start up and see that the licence is in use by somebody else? Or get thrown out later because of too many login's and strange things like that?
If everybody would be honest it would be no problem.
The user key is automaticly set in your portal where there is a safe connection, safe connection with downloads is way more complicated, and will give other problems.
