Welcome message in Access Management not updated in website  en

The "Welcome message" of the "login page" was not updated in the published website. This text can be edited unter Access Management.

Steps:

update the welcome message (from "version1" to "version2").
(there is no preview available)

(There is only one "sub" page that is "locked" which triggers the welcome message)

export website (either only changed pages or all pages (in this case i erased the destination folder)).

When opening that webpage in a browser it still shows the previous version ("version1") of the welcome message.
This was tested on Chrome, Firefox on Windows 10 and on Chrome on Android.

My thoughts:

How can WebsiteX5 keep the old version and deploy it while the editor shows already the new version.
It seems that after trying a "version3" the "version2" is published.

The problem is not on the browser (refresh page, delete cache ...) and not on the webserver content (as it was erased).

Version 2021.3.5 on 2021-09-12

Hello.

  1. If for new "Welcome message" you use an image with the same file name, then rename the file.
  2. Press the CTRL key and, without releasing it, press the preview button.
  3. Delete all files and folders of the site from the hosting.
  4. Reload the entire site.
  5. Clear your browser cache and check for changes.

Thank you for the fast response: It worked.

some comments to the solution:

1) I dont know how to use an image for the Welcome Message (= the message that is displayed when user and password is requested). And if I used an image how could it have the same name as .. what? Just interested in this point.

2) The CTRL + Preview seem to force a regenerate of some (all?) files.
This includes the file with the Welcome Message.
These files are transferred with the next upload.

3), 4), 5) These steps were not needed in my case. (Deleting the whole page on server can be a longer process depenting on the number of files.)

and some things I found out:

o) The Welcome Message is stored in imlogon.php.
o) The control for the Welcome Message field does not provide text formatting, however if I can add <br> tags.

o) The preview will not show the Welcome Message - this works as designed:
