I expect to see a full sized image. I resized the original images to a larger size then resaved as a PDF. Better but still kinda small. The bar below the catalog is pretty far below the catalog. Is this normal. It doesn't look like the images example with the object. I couldn't get the link the to site with a sample catalog, so I can't compare with it.

Kitty, what does the pdf look like when you scroll thru using acrobat reader? Is each page full depth? with little or no margin? The viewer will set the bar low enough to accomodate the longest page.

You will find that if you click manage above the optional objects, you can go to data visualisation and select catalog viewer (or search for catalog). Then you can check the preview sample.

I think I'm going to just go back and do the whole thing over. Due to COVID, the church I'm trying to use the catalog viewer to make an online photo albumn for has cancelled the annual Fall Bazaar and Chicken BBQ. It's their only fund raiser each year. If I can't work it out, I'll get back to this board for help. Thanks for you assistance.

Kitty, you may like to consider using images (simply print screen of each page in an existing PDF?). I have had great results in the past with page flip (slideshow heading). A pdf can still be provided on the page for download if required.

Good luck!!

Thanks! I actually have been considering that option. Best to you. I'm still working on creating a photo albumn for the church using PowerPoint. I'll save a PDF and try again. You never know, it might work this time. If not, it's slideshow time. I'll report back.

You can of course use PowerPoint directly in WX5, but I have found it unsuitable except in specific circumstances.

Here's the link to my "catalog viewer" Photo Album. I still think the spacing above and below looks a bit off and it takes a bit longer to load too. The members of the church I asked to give me feedback really like the album.

That looks great Kitty, I downloaded the pdf and had a play.

I reckon you can fix the space above & below the catalogue by unlocking the relative dimensions and setting it at something like 900x560

If you want less space between the text object and the catalogue you can reduce the inner and outer margins to 0 for the top of the cell of the catalogue, and the bottom of the cell for the text object

Please let us know if that did the trick. . . .

Speaking of tricks, is this correct on page 10?

Have a great day!!

(It > En) ... for information only, as far as possible it would always be better to avoid PDF(!), a format that is not suitable and/or not 100% compatible for the web...
... it is much better to use an image slideshow in an image gallery, much lighter and faster to view, and 100% compatible...

... however, since it is possible, you are free to act as you see fit...

KolAsim, I thought the catalogue viewer actually generated raster images of the pages (hence the ability to shade and animate the page turn). Please someone correct me if I am wrong.
