I am not receiving emails from website

I am running Evo 4.5. I have set up a contact email form but am not receiving emails from it. I am using an external domain name www.metropolitanbusheybowlsclub.co.uk. The domain name is currently registered to someone else and will be transferred to me in about 60 days. I have tried putting the 'owners' email in but it still does not work. The export email settings are set to PHP with an email address of ***. I do not get any error messages when I export the project.
I am not sure what I am doing wrong and would appreciate any help.

Hello. If "The domain name is currently registered to someone else and will be transferred to me in about 60 days" - this may be the reason. Possibly the wrong mail settings are specified for the domain.
Try using the SMTP server connection to send mail. You can check the connection parameters with the current domain owner.

Thank you for answering Aleksej. I have not been able to get hold of the person the site is currently registered to. So I thought I would would just use a text link to an email address. I created a hotmail account. I put in the hotmail email address and a heading but when I uploaded the project again it didn't work. You could see the javascript generating the heading but nothing happened on the screen. I have just put the email address in text on the screen with no links. Not very helpful to the user but not sure what to do now.

In the parameter settings for the export I have SMPT with no SMPT address port 25 and my email address.
On the join-us page I have the attached file.
I have also tried parameter settings for export as PHP mailer.
When you create such links your mail settings in the program do not make sense. This is not the same as sending emails from a form.
I see your "Email Us" link. If I click on this link, my mail program window opens. What's wrong? I am using Thunderbird.It is configured to open such links.But it depends on each specific device.

Thanks Aleksej. You set me on the right path. There is nothing I can do about the mail settings as the software insists I put an email address in for PHP and SMPT. However I checked the email link on my iphone and ipad and they both worked. The link did not work on my laptop because I did not have the default email set correctly. It should have been Outlook but was set to Google Chrome.
