My Website is up and runniing....  Thanks again for all the helpful advice.  As most of you indicated, it was no easy fix.  I was able to use the "old website" to download all photos, creating my new pages, and then again to recover all the website links for the new site.

HOWEVER, SOME LINKS DO NOT WORK on the new website.   (www.oregonelectricogaugers.com) Especially the last two pages of the site.

I can copy and paste to a browser,  from the X5 Preview page or the actual website page.  But  the link does not always work  from teh x5 Preview page or the website page.  It does work for most links.

I have deleted the link and carefully typed it correctly into the link URL window from "file or URL", but it does not connect.  Most links work.... hmmmm

You have an SSL certificate for your website, but in step 5 'Export' select 'Export website to Internet' you have http://www.oregonelectricogaugers.com/ in the 'URL of website' field. Here you have to change the http to https. Then this change must be activated in the project by clicking on the preview button while holding down the Ctrl key and waiting until the progress bar has run through completely. Then upload the project from scratch. It may be that this causes problems.

The statement by Andre E  is also correct and true that opening external URLs in a showbox does not work and it is better to open the called page in a new window.

Thank you so much for the quick reply.  I spent almost an hour with my internet provider technician.  First deleting the old and then attempting to upload the new.  Finally we "answered" x5's questions correctly, and the site uploaded.  I knew some links didn't work, but added notations to "copy and paste the url into a browser".  I knew I would eventually be able to correct the links.

Some of the sites were "http" and others were "https".   I copied the site link directly to the interniet file line.    The links  for "YouTube" pages worked lin the show box, and some of the websites worked.  I think the "https thing"  on our site info caused most of the conflicts.

I will also go back and change the actual website links to "new window".

Thanks again for the quick and excellent advice.

Make a good day.  Always LEARNING.  Always TRAINing.

as an asside..... Culd this site employ spel check???  I (and others) could surely use it.
