I am not going to lie. your calendar tool... is lacking (or I am)

http://www.americanlegiondurhampost7.com/up-coming-events.html

My problem:

If you look at the first calendar on the page that is google calendar embedded on the page. I LOVE google calendar for the ease of use. BUT on the website (on a phone.. Iphone for sure, some andriods) you only see half the screen, and there is no option for the scroll. (I have noticed this also with pdf files on the bottom)

My would-be soultion:

Use the calendar tool and sync with google calendar. The bad news... your calendar STILL does not support repeated functions (and as you can tell most of my functions are repeated) And you can not click the "links" in the calendar tool to expand what it says on a phone.

HOW can I fix the google calendar to show up with iphones... the full calendar? not just half the page. This is a serious flaw because EVERYONE uses a phone to look up stuff up.. sometimes more then a computer. My option I have now is cutting the calendar in tablet/phone size and linking to google calendar, but I rather not unless I have to

Lauren, to overcome this I display the calendar in Agenda View, and for those who require it I add a menu item to offer them the full page (desktop) view.

Hello lauren

I will advice you, to look at the LuxCal calendar. It is a free calendar.

You can see this post : https://helpcenter.websitex5.com/pt/post/152343

After the post was made, there has been developed a display ( more displays )  for the calendar, that is optimized for mobile devices.

You can see some examples here : http://calendarforum.dk/examples.html

If you scan the QR-codes you see the calendar-display on the device without unneccessary things shown.

You can make the images "clickable" as it is done on the example for "Bramming Egnsmuseum".

You can see how easy it is to integrate here : http://calendarforum.dk/integrating-iframe-x5.html

As you will see, the integration is made with iframes. The displays can be used as single pages ( for mobiles ) amd they can also be integrated in iframes.

Of course the calendar can handle recurring/repeating  events - and much much more.

You can give users or groups access to the calendar - full access or restricted access ( maybe only to maintain some special categories ). It can be used as a booking calendar if you wish.

The Google calendar is also good, but not as good as the LuxCal and you never know when google decides to make changes.

Kind regards

John S.
