I am using ver 2026.1.3 on windows 11. On starting the program I am just getting the inital load screen. The bar on bottom of page keeps scrolling and the Home Page fails to load. I have tried a reboot and no luck. I remember I made a modification to another program and change it back, did another reboot. The program came up, but and said time to upgrade whicjh I did. Upgrade started, however it stopped half way thru. Now I cannot get anything. I think I need a fresh install.

Here are instructions from Incomedia for a new installation, see
-----
-----
To find the installation file, click on the user name at the top right and select “My Profile”.
Under “Download” there is the installer and under “License key” there is the license key for the installation.
If there is a problem with the new installation, then wait for the Incomedia employees, who will be online here in about 7 hours.
Groet, JV.
Ik bedoel opstartpagina / beginpagina.
Hi All,
When I start Website X Pro 2026.1.6 on Windows 11 it often displays a partial home screen, but the program fails to open as the progress bar continues scrolling indefinely.
The problem started in the last few weeks. I cannot correlate it to any other updates or changes.
Occasionaly if I start Website X Pro 2026.1.6 straight after boot it will open, but it always displays a partial home screen (see attached). I cannot access the home screen items that are not visible. After opening a website, the other screens are all OK.
I have uninstalled Microsoft Update KB5083769. It did not fix the problem, so I will reinstall it.
I will not try to reinstall Website X Pro 2026.1.6 until I understand from Incomedia exacty what the problem is and if what action will fix it.
Kind regards and thanks, Joe.
Hello Joe,
I am sorry about the issue, we are still investigating the matter.
Your situation however may be different, as so far users were able to solve this without the security update.
To confirm, what persisted was also the issue with the loading screen, or perhaps only the display issue with the startpage?
I remain available.
I have exactly the same issue and need to update a company website today!!!
Hello Alan,
I recommend checking the situation after uninstalling security update KB5083769, and leaving updates temporarily disabled to avoid it being reinstalled.
Like others I cannot get Website X5 evo to start up. Just get the intro window and the progress scroll bar just keeps scrolling.
What is the problem and what is the suggested fix ?
Just a follow up to my earlier post. The same thing is happening on both my desktop running ver 26.1.1 and my laptop running ver 25.3.4.
Hello Mike,
please check my previous message, making sure to expand it, and you can see the screenshots regarding how to uninstall the Windows security update.
Eric, how do you know the problem is with update KB5083769 ?
Sorry Eric, I've just had a further look thru' the postings and someone else has said that uninstallinbg the update made no difference.
Hello Mike,
other users have reported this behavior last week, and while investigating some of them noticed that the timing coincided with the security update, and by uninstalling it the software resumed working.
We are of course investigating to find out which component of the update is affecting WebSite X5 so that we can intervene and allow the software to coexist with the security update.
Yes, I asked that user for clarifications because currently he is the only user for which the issue persisted after uninstalling the update.
At the moment it is still the main recommendation.
Eric, thanks for the clarification. I have uninstalled update KB5083769 from both my desktop and laptop and Website X5 is now working on both. So it would definitely seem as though Website X5 and that update have a conflict. I hope you at Incomedia can rapidly find a solution to that conflict.
Hello Mike,
we managed to replicate the issue on one of our available computers, so we are making progress in investigating this and finding a fix.
I have this issue too. I hope you will fix earlier versions rather than force us to upgrade to the latest version.
Hello Kevin,
unfortunately it is not technically possible to apply updates to older versions.
I can only recommend uninstalling the security update and checking the situation with future updates in case Microsoft releases a fix to address the situation, as the affected component of WebSite X5 has been in use for several years and is standard.
There have been some news and user reports regarding other issues linked to this update in general, unrelated to WebSite X5, so hopefully Microsoft intervenes in the next updates.

Update to ver 2026.1.7 solved part of the original problem, thank you! However, I still need to open X-5 first, otherwise it just sits there spinning its wheels.
Thanks again
Hello James,
version 2026.1.8, currently out as a Beta, includes a fix for that startup issue associated with the Windows security update.
Thanks for the update Eric,
Same problem here. Using Website X5 Pro version 2026.1.7 - uninstalling program and reinstalling does not fix the problem.
I temporarily uninstalled windows update KB5083769 and all is working, quickly updated all my .iwzip files just to be on the safe side. Also stopped windows updates for a week.
Where can we find the Beta 2026.1.8 version for downloading. Can only see version 1.7 which I already have.
Guess we'll just have to wait until 1.8 comes out or MS fixes the KB5083769 update.
Just happy I can get my files updated. LOL
Good luck everyone.
Cheers
John
Click on the user name at the top right and then click on Preview & Beta in the selection.
Here you will find all the information you need in the Beta section and possibly the download if you are activated.
Gentlemen
About a little over a week ago, the X5 welcome screen did not appear as normal; it came up as a very
tiny thumbnail. When I clicked it, nothing opened it up. So I went and opened my project, and opened it up as usual, and everything worked fine.
On another day, I opened X5 Pro, and again there was the same small thumbnail of the welcome screen.
The X5 welcome screen opened large but was not fully opened properly. Only Half the screen is visible, and pushed halfway out of view to the right off of the screen.
I then went to my desktop PC to check it out, and the welcome screen is perfectly centered.
It almost seems like it is a breakpoint problem.
By the way, my laptop screen is 15 inches. My desktop is 28 inches.
I hope this sheds some light on this problem.
Best regards, Giulio
Hello Giulio,
yes, this is a separate issue.
We are aware of this and were only able to release a partial fix for the time being, but will work on resolving this as soon as possible.
Changing the resolution/scale settings of your monitors should also allow you to restore the intended display, however the main buttons to open or create a new project should not be affected by this, so you can also consider not changing these settings.
I have activated beta with my new licence but can't see a download. The page says that the update will be done when I start X5 - but that's the problem I can't get to the home page to do the update!
Hello,
you can download the installer here
https://static.incomedia.eu/websitex5.com/v2026.1/2026.1.8.0/wsx5_ev.exe
however at the moment I do not see Beta mode enabled for your licence, could you please check?
