I have a MS Access database, stored on my local PC. I would like to convert/link it to WEB site, I can give my friends/familiars (it is a usefull recipies/coock database for housewifes (with over 7t recipies and the added pictures). I got the answer from Frank Newsome (Franks Cyber Cafe), it is possible with Advanced Settings/Data Management. But there I find only possibility with internet connection. I would like to make a Site (offline too) for peoples, who didn't have Access on its PC. To make the situation a bit more difficult, the whole database is in 4 languages. BR Zoltan Kovacs

Hello Zoltan,
The database has to be online otherwise nobody can connect to it because you should need a server and a fixed IP and you should setup the server to accept the connection. The Program can connect to MySQL databases and if you want to use a different one, you need to have this only and then you can write the query code to connect to it in the HTML&Widget Object.
If you require any further information, please feel free to write back.

Hi Claudio,
Maybee I didn't explain it clear enough.
My target is not to make a shared recipies database, than to make my database available for people didn't have MS Access. I find X5 a very god tool to convert the surface of my database to HTML and to share it on this way. MS Acces is also able to work with graphical surface, but to run it You need Access or Access Runtime. In case of HTML surface is IE or Chrome or ... enough to run it. All operating systems has it.
You know, as freelancer/enterpreteur I'm making databases for different usages. (You can find some on my page too.) The easiest way to store it on tables and make the surface in HTML, I can't do without X5. All querys will be run in the background.
That1s the reason, why I look for.

Hello Zoltan,
The database has to be online to make it possible to be accessed from every browser otherwise everyone need to install ms access and has to run the db. Probably a windows hosting with asp support can make it run automatically but in any case the db has to be online running on the server.
Many thanks!
