I would like to allow users of my website to download pdf or word files or excel files from it for their use. For example 'rules and regs' or 'gala entries'. Is this possible and exactly what would I have to do.

Thanks

Pat

Hello Patricia

You could use the download-object ( has to be purchased ). This object has the advantage, that you can see how many times a file is downloaded.

You could also just make a link on a page - the link should be to the PDF file or a Word file.

You could also show the PDF-file in an iframe.

I have an example of this, here : http://www.bramminginfo.dk/brm03/settings.html

In the iframe is the download option.

The simplest way is to use links.

Kind regards

John S.

If you want, I could make an example with links, where you have the link, and an explanation/name of the file.

Thanks both that solved the problem - I sent the text link to a pdf file to open in a new window and the users can right-click on it to save it or print it direct from the new window.

I fancy joining your crown green bowls club John but I live too far away. My website is for a Lawn Green Bowls Association.

Kind regards

Pat
