hello
i made a change in my main page "home page" and like usual exported it; this time, i tried many many times, and the changes are not taken into consideration, though it does as a test; finally on google even if i reload nothing is modified; what is happening and how can i reverse this situation, thank you
Gepostet am
HI Olivier Delphine D.
1. Clear browser history
If the situation does not change.
2. Delete the uploaded web page on your site. Then make a full upload.
Perhaps this is the simplest way.
Do you know if pages ( especially the homepage ) has been changed from html to php? Did you on a page insert an object that would change the page type?
If this is not the case, then do as Antal suggest.
If still problems - have you tried to do a manual upload?
Do you have a link to your site?

it is in html
Olivier, assuming the preview looks correct on your PC, please do a ctrl+preview and then do a FULL upload of your site (not new and changed). When you open your site with your web browser, CTRL+F5 will flush the cache.
Autor
thank you for your answer
i tried to flush the cache it did not work; though the website is exported correctly on the mobile phones; i dont know how to figure this out
Olivier, we can see your website online. Could you provide a screenshot of your local preview and also one online of the same page so we can see the difference?
Have you tried looking at your site with a different browser?
Autor
yes i tried through internet explorer too, it is the same

here from the preview
Olivier, could you open WX5, select your home page and check the filename? I suspect this is not index as it should be.
I also note that you not only have http://www.scentseas.com/index.html online, you also have http://www.scentseas.com/index.php and http://www.scentseas.com/home.html so I suspect you have played with the intro page at some point (this may have confused the home page file name?). As Antal said above, deleting all files in the public_html folder of your host and then doing a full upload may well resolve the problem.
As a test before you do so you could create a folder on your PC and go to step5, export website to disk into that folder, then using Windows Explorer, navigate to that folder and double click on index.html Hopefully you will see your whole site exactly as you intended.
Please let us know if any of the above helps.
Olivier, I revisited your site, http://www.scentseas.com/acceuil.html does exist exactly as your screen shot of wx5 shows, so I suspect you will solve the problem if you use properties to rename acceuil to index (assuming this is meant to be your home page)

HELLO
actually, as i saw no matter what it was not working, i copied the home page as a regular page, and see what it was doing, and it did not correct the problem, that is why you see 2 homme pages, regarding the 3rd one is because we have a multi language website, one in english, the regular is in french; www.scentseas.com/en
Autor
regarding http://www.scentseas.com/index.php
i dont see where it is coming from
Autor
and regarding http://www.scentseas.com/home.html
i would love to delete it, how can i do it as i have not access to it anymore, where can i find it?
thank you !!
Autor
i started to see where were all those files, i tried to delete them, but it seem impossible, what is the procedure? thank you
Autor
i deleted the old old pages, OMG did not know everything was stocked; though i hope it will help
Over time there can be quite a build up of old files. WX5 replaces updated files and adds new files, there is no option to automatically remove unused files
Olivier, I tried http://www.scentseas.com/index.html and it is not found (you may be currently uploading?). Could you please verify that when exported to a folder on your PC you can open index.html and the site opens correctly (if not, the site will not upload correctly).
I also note that index.php still exists, as does home.html, so these files have not yet been deleted.
You can do all the deletions in FTP through WX5, I select the first folder and then hold down shift to select the last file if I wish to delete everything (I can go back and hld ctrl key down to unselect individual files or folders if I wish).
You are not currently using the intro page to select language (you have a menu button option to switch sites). When you create an intro page wx5 creates index.php (intro page) and renames index.html as home.html. Unfortunately when you stop using the intro page wx5 does not remove index.php or home.html, it simply changes the home page to index.html
