User Permissions (Access Management) remote access
Autor: Jem C.Hi. I have a website which offers access to a digital magazine, based on users permissions.
To simplify things for my users, I register their details manually on the 'Access Management' screen in Website x5, then allocate their email (or alias) to the relevant permissions group.
... before uploading the site.
All works well so far.
However, this relies on me having access to my PC and to Website x5.
If I go on holiday, I won't have my PC. Is there any way to add users and allocate them to groups without having access to the Website x5 program?
If not, I guess I'll have to move Website x5 over to my laptop, transfer my whole website design to the laptop, and take it with me.
This seems rather over the top - is there another way?
All help gratefully received.
Regards all, Jem
p.s. - If it's not possible currently, can you please add it as an idea ... perhaps a function of the Admin / Dashboard app?
Hello.
"Is there any way to add users and allocate them to groups without having access to the Website x5 program?" - no (if you must do it ). But they can register themselves.
"This seems rather over the top - is there another way?" -No, there is no other way.
"p.s. - If it's not possible currently, can you please add it as an idea ... perhaps a function of the Admin / Dashboard app?" - I sent a notification about your idea to the company employees, expect an answer from them here in the comments.

Hi - Thanks for your reply.
I agree that the users can add themselves during the order process (indeed, this may be the way to go, as they can then choose their own passwords).
However, this doesn't solve the problem of allocating registered users to permissions groups / pages.
This is a function I'd like to see added to the Admin screen - I think many others would find it useful!
Thanks for your help as always.

Hello Jem
Since this is currently not possible as mentioned by Aleksej too, I will convert the topic into an idea as to keep it highlighted for future improvements of the software
Thank you
