Hello,

To the software writers, you’ve made an assumption in your software Website X5 Professional 11. You thought that in the Shopping Cart that I and others are selling, what if we only want to advertise in the cart? Products or facilities, but not sell, but  you’ve made a number of things “mandatory” that can’t be disabled! Eg. Customer’s E-mail address & E-mail address for receiving orders! Possibly a lot more!

True your software is clever and has many features, but as a user I’d like to decide how I host a site and what information will be required & included in it! But for me personally not being able to disable features any and all, wastes my time. At the moment I’m experimenting and finding that the software is easy to use and works well, but information about it’s use is hard to find, even the .PDF is missing a lot of information. I was hoping to just design my site, test it and up load, but seems that I’ll have to find the code, modify it, then test and up load!

We are all individuals and have a preconception of what we want on our site and work to that aim, I learnt many years ago never “never assume anything” especially where humans are concerned! I’ve spent a lot of money on various software, slowly developing my site, adding features, but finding idiosyncrasies in the programs that someone has assumed I want, without the option of modifying or disabling, all I can say is let the user decide not you the programmer, give us the option to lets us create our own individual site based on our ideas not your presumptions! With that in mind you’ll find if you instigate the above in the next version 12? You’ll have a program that everyone will want to create their own masterpiece! With that, I’ll wish you a nice and happy day!
