Hello Michael,
In the first instance can you check that everything is as it should be on your server by visting the 'Test' section of your online control panel here:
http://www.kritikafdanskpoliti.dk/admin/website_test.php
Log in using your 'Administrator' details as in Step 4 Access Management
Once logged in make sure you are on the 'Test' page (top left-hand corner of screen)
Any errors in your server configuration will be clearly shown.
Secondly, how did you add your blog to the navigation menu? Did you drag and drop from the 'Special' pages in the sitemap to the 'Menu' pages? Or have you renamed 'Page 1' to 'Blog', then added a .php extension?
Kind regards,
Paul

Hi Paul!
thanks for your prompt reply!
I add my blog by drag and drop!
I can now see that it works in preview - but the menu do not work anymore - when I upload you will only see the first page!!!
Michael
Your blog seems to be working fine now, Michael... I can view it online:
http://www.kritikafdanskpoliti.dk/blog
As for the menu issue, if you can post a screenshot of your sitemap within X5 in Step 2 then it would be helpful.
Perhaps you have somehow messed up the sitemap when dragging and dropping the blog page?

Hi Paul!
yes the blog seems to work allright - but the menu and the other sites donot turn up!
Please see attached screen prints!
Michael
Hello Michael,
I may be wrong (because the screenshot seems a bit fuzzy) but it does look as if you have set the pages to be 'invisible' by accident? The icon appears greyed out?
Can you verify that this is not the case?
If the pages are indeed greyed out in the sitemap then you will have to reactivate visibility, using the icon on the edit toolbar, before they will appear in the menu online.

Hi Paul!
sorry for all this troubles:)
But the problem is that I can easily see the 3 pages in preview if I take them one by one!
But the menu bars donot turn ups att all - I donot think I have set the pages to be invisble! and they are not greyed out - but the meny bar is simply not there!!
Michael
Hello Michael,
It's no trouble at all.
Thanks for confirming the menu/pages are active.
Your web pages have definitely uploaded OK... check here:
http://www.kritikafdanskpoliti.dk/lov-om-politiets-virksomhed.html
So it must be a Main Menu configuration setting that is amiss. Check very carefully your Main Menu settings in Step 1 General Settings > Default Template > Template Style > Main Menu Style... keep watching the preview if you make changes to see how it affects the menu... if the menu isn't visible in preview then it won't be visible online either.
Good luck, and let us know how you get on!

OK Paul - I try - and will be back if no luck:))
thanks a lot

Hi Paul!
I have now tried to follow your advice - and I have slso compared with my other homepages! It simply does not work!
The menu bars does not appear!!!
has it something to do with the blog???
Michael
Hello Michael,
We will get there with this, don't worry.
I've had another look at your screenshot 'web2.jpg'
Sorry to go back to this yet again but I've scrutinised it really closely and it honestly does look as if the 'Menu' has been set to invisible. Note that I'm referring to the 'Menu' icon itself, not the actual 'pages'
Just before we ask Incomedia for advice, could you have one final check of the sitemap in Step 2?
Go to the 'Menu' icon, click on it just once, to highlight it and give it focus, then go up to the edit toolbar just above, and toggle the position of the 'Hidden page in the menu' icon.
You'll be able to clearly see the difference between the greyed out setting and the 'on' setting as you do the toggle.
Make sure that the 'Menu' icon is lit, and then check visibility of the menu in the preview.
If the menu still doesn't show, then we'll ask Claudio for his opinion.
Best regards,
Paul

Hi Paul!
Well - I can now in preview see the menu bars - but not the blog???
When I save and upload - I can still not see the menu bars!
Michael
Hi Michael,
Almost there!
The menu is now showing online... refresh your browser by holding down the 'CTRL' key and pressing F5 on your keyboard whilst viewing your web page online. This will clear your browser cache and you should then see the changes. I can see them here at my end
As to the blog not showing... can you post an updated screenshot of the sitemap in Step 2 as it now stands? I suspect you will need to create an 'alias' for the Blog by dragging and dropping a copy of it from the Special Pages to the main pages under the Menu... try it and you'll see what I mean.
Thanks!
Paul

Hi again!
Attached screenprint!
But even if I refresh - I can´t see the menu bar on the web page online!!
Michael
Thanks for the screenprint, Michael.
Yes, you do need to drag and drop a copy of the blog into the menu section. See my own screenprint (attached) and it should become clear...
Did you definitely hold down the 'CTRL' key whilst refreshing the page in your browser? Try refreshing a few times in succession. I can assure you the changes are there... see the screenshot attached for what I can see as proof
Author
I can see your proof - but it does not work here - I have also deleted history and have tried refreshing a lot of times - very strange??
I have even tried on other computers and Ipad!
It is also possible that there is another cache in your network chain somewhere which needs to be flushed (although this would be unusual).
But if you can be bothered then you could try rebooting your router and/or any other equipment which helps you connect to the internet.
Are you connecting from home, or from a workplace? If from a workplace then the situation could be further complicated.
Try viewing on a mobile device for now... any cache issues should disappear soon enough as caches have expiry times.
In any case, it must be a local issue I'm afraid Michael, as the site looks fine online now.
Michael, the blog is now in the menu online!
Whatever you do, don't make any more changes, as all is now OK!!
Author
Hi paul - I will keep refreshing!
But the blog seems not to work anymore - if you take a look at the webpage - it should be so easy - and until now nothing but problems!
See attached file!
Michael
You must have accidentally made a change since my last post, Michael
Everything was fine about half an hour ago... I took a screenshot then (attached)... you will see that the menu is visible with the blog, and the blog is active.
Try and retrace your steps and undo whatever you have changed just very recently, because it WAS working
PS: your screenshot shows that you have deleted the blog, and renamed one of the normal pages as 'Forum'
That won't work... you need to reinstate the blog and drag and drop it back into the menu section as before.

Yes Paul - done - and it all works in prewiew - but not when I visit the web online.
I have also tried another pc with another internet supplier! so something is totally wrong!!!
But I wil continue trying - and simply donot undestand it - all the other web pages I have with your system owrks allright!!
Thanks
Michael

Paul - I think I have found the problem. No one can visit the page www.kritikafdanskpoliti.dk and see it correct - but using this one http://www.kritikafdanskpoliti.dk/index.html
it works:)) but how do I manage this??
Michael
Ask your webhost to set your Directory Index correctly.
Or you can do it yourself by adding the following line to the .htaccess file on your web server:
DirectoryIndex index.html
