Right. I took myself off the beta testing and downloaded the only download available: 11.02.14 and installed it, having deleted 11.03.17.

I didn't realize that I could no longer open my project as I received a message saying that I could not use a project created with 11.03.17.

FORTUNATELY, I had backed up my gard drive ovedrnight and so I was able to restore Websitex5 11.03.17.

My project opens again.

HOWEVER, how do I get out of this loop?

How do I move forward without "beta"s?

Best wishes,

Nigel

Hello Nigel,

It won't be long before your Beta version is either superceded, or moves out of Beta and becomes generally available.

As long as you have successfully unsubscribed from the Beta channel then you will no longer be offered any more Beta updates as and when they are released.

So, you will soon be back in sync with the majority.  Just be sure to decline any further Beta updates if the software tries to push them to you (although this shouldn't happen if you are now unsubscribed)

Until then, however, I'm afraid that you will have to stick with 11.0.3.17  -  at least, with respect to existing projects.  You can create new projects in 11.0.2.14 of course, if you so wish.

The changelog will keep you updated:

Seasons Greetings,

Paul

Hi Paul...

Excellent answer!

It just shows you how important it is to keep backing up PC stuff in as many places as possible.

Have a great Christmas!

Nigel
