Hi Micah

You can retrieve yoursiteonly ifyou havesaved the project.iwzip, out of the folderwhich is on theC:\ ..Ifyou did,you have tostart all over again.
If you have notsavedon another disk, you can notrecover :(

After each changeon your site, you shouldsaveyourprojectinan external HD,orpendrive.Neversave onHD,where there isthe operating systemofwindows.

If you had to reinstall Windows that usually means that you would have to format your drive - that would lose all files, programs etc that were on the same drive. Unless you saved copies on another drive or partition, they are gone.

So, your comment "I did not lose any files otherwise" is a bit perplexing. If this means that you had some sort of backup, then use the Windows search function to find .iwzip files as A. Kris suggests above. If you find any, they can be imported into X5 again.

You are one of several users over the past month who have had computer crashes and potentially lost their websites as a result. Having an external backup, NAS server or similar is just a MUST these days.

I learned this the hard way myself, but never again. I use an external drive but as well as this use a Cloud based service called "GotBackup?" which works in the background and saves my files for me. Take a look at the relevant page on my site, (www.smashthatcomputer.com) called GotBackup. Yes, I sell it as an affiliate. But I also USE it for 5 of my computers (among my family) and I won't ever lose my website files again!
