Pseudo responsive
Author: Esahc ..I have created a large number of websites in many website X5 products up to Website X5 evolution 11. Many now require responsive design. I am quite happy to copy and recreate mobile sites for each using evolution 11, but if an optional piece of code could be added automatically to the header of each page in the original and mobile versions, this would simplify the excercise dramatically and allow me to continue using X5 rather than the alternative website design package I am currently using.
On the main site this could be as simple as a menu option on the template style page where the path to the mobile site is inserted and the preferred width for the breakpoint is inserted (eg <360pixels), the necessary code should then be generated and inserted into the header of every page. It could be assumed that for every page in the main website there will be an identically named page in the mobile site (eg. m.domainname.com/about.html) which would mean that irrespective of which page the client entered the site they would land on the appropriately formatted site.
The same code would also need to be added to the mobile site so that clients would automatically be redirected to the main site if appropriate (eg >360pixels).
I know this is possible now, but adding code or script into the header is daunting for me and I would suggest impossible for many. Such an option may negate the need for truly responsive design software and if done properly it may even be better than other solutions in the marketplace especially if we can come up with some great mobile templates.

Not even a possibility?
I would rather move back to Website X5 is I had the choice :-(
Hello Esahc ..,
All the suggestions made with Idea posts are automatically taken in consideration for the future releases of the program. Unfortunately I cannot tell you if and when a certain function will be added.
Many thanks!
