V11 Install Issue  en

Hello,

I purchased X5 Professional this afternoon and I am receiving the error attched to this post. During Installation it appears as if the download (283mb file from Cleverbridge) is corrupted as X5 attempts to install the templates in C:\Program Files (x86)\WebSite X5 v11 - Professional\Templates\.....

I have tried the following:

  1. Re-downloading the software
  2. Running as Administrator
  3. Selecting 'retry'
  4. Selecting 'Ignore' which repeats the error but with a different template name (Highlighted text) each time I press ignore.
  5. Completely deleted the software and cleared Cache and registry entries
  6. Downloaded to my desktop this time
  7. Tried all of the steps above again with no success.

My system is as follows:

  • Windows 7 Home Premium
  • 64-bit Operating System
  • 6.00gb of RAM (but my other car is a Porsche :-)

Any assistance or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I am adding one other piece of information which may help:

As I continue to press 'ignore' the install status bar does move very slooooooooooooowly to the right. I will continue this path in hopes of completing the install THEN getting the templates installed.

Hope to hear or share a solotion soon.

Hello Troy,

That is indeed a strange issue.

Can I suggest in the first instance downloading from Incomedia's servers, as opposed to Cleverbridge:

https://answers.websitex5.com/profile/downloads

This should completely rule out any corruption in the setup file.

Is your hard disk/SSD in good order?  It seems almost like a drive problem...

Please keep us posted as to how you get on.

Kind regards,

Paul

Hello Paul,

Thanks so much for responding so quickly.

After pressing ignore more than 100 times I decided to truly ignore it and try another method. I found the solution in a post regarding v10.

Solution:

  1. Download X5 v11 using 'Free Download Manager'. http://www.freedownloadmanager.org
  2. Smile from ear-to-ear when because X5 v.11 will then install with no problems.

Thanks again Paul.
