I was using a Window 7 PC to run this program and to update my website but my new PC has windows 8.1. I have installed Website X5 onto the new computer and copied my website project file onto a memory stick as per instructions. When trying to open my project file using the new PC i get a message saying "An error occured whilst loading the project (there is an error in XML document (2835,232) and the import stops. I have attached a screen shot. Please help.

Hello Dave,

What version of WebSite X5 were you using on the Windows 7 PC, and what version are you trying to use on the Windows 8.1 machine?

If you are attempting to import a WebSite X5 project using Evolution 11.0.6.27 on the Win8.1 PC then it would be important to export from the Win7 PC using the same 11.0.6.27 version.  Update the software on the Win7 machine to the latest release (if necessary), and then try exporting in Step 5 and importing again.

By the way, the screenshot you referred to in your opening post appears to be missing.

Kind regards,

Paul

So just to confirm, you're running WebSite X5 Evolution 10.1.12.57 on both the Win7 and Win8.1 machines?

If so, can you confirm that you are able to export the project in Step 5 from the Win7 machine, and then import it back again into the same Win7 machine successfully, without any errors?

Many thanks...
