I am trying to add quantity on my products, and the table is updated, but when oppening a page showing quantity, it does not work - see attached image.
When viewing the same page using preview, it all looks fine...

Hello Henrik,
The information you've provided would suggest that the issue is related to the PHP scripts which access the database. As these can only run on the server this will be why everything 'appears' normal when using the preview.
Is this a project you have recently upgraded to version 12?
Have you changed server or webhost?
Can you post a link to one of the pages which has issues, please?
Kind regards,
Paul

Hi Poul,
It worked fine on the beta....
I have just upgraded the project.
I am hosting at one.com
You can see it here:
http://www.armis.dk/ammunition.html
It is on the product called CCI Segmented HP

Tried to turn off database and still no mails, so I will have to go back to v11 :-(
If you decide to try again with v12 then please completely clear your browser cache and cookies first (especially important as you were using the beta beforehand).
Please also check (if using v12) that all the diagnostic website tests pass OK when visiting your online control panel, here:
http://www.armis.dk/admin/login.php
In particular check the test results for MySQL and email.
Unfortunately I am unable to take a closer look at the page you linked to as it is now reverted to 11.0.8.31
Good luck!

I tried with Chrome and IE, and same result.
Now I am making a TEST folder to try v12, and I get PASS on all test in: http://www.armis.dk/TEST/admin/login.php
So you can now see the error on:
http://www.armis.dk/TEST/ammunition.html

After making a TEST folder I get this error:
Please can you change the file extension of the 'ammunition' page from .html to .php and then test again?
You can do this in Step 2 Map Creation... highlight the 'ammunition' page in the sitemap and click the 'Properties' button on the right-hand side of the screen. In the new window which opens go to the Expert tab, then select .php from the File Name Format menu (see the screenshot attached)
Reupload to the server once done, and clear your browser cache.

It is now changed to php and it works. Is that the solution or a "quick-fix"? :-)
We will wait for Claudio or someone else from Incomedia to provide a definitive answer.
In the new version 12 stock control is dynamic and uses PHP scripts. These will not run (on most servers) without a .php file extension. So I imagined that the file extension would need to be changed.
What puzzles me a bit at this stage is why WebSite X5 didn't automatically change the file extension for you. It usually does this when you implement a native WebSite X5 feature which uses PHP.
Please bear with us until Incomedia make an official comment. They usually respond within 24-48 hours, although we are now into the weekend and they are closed until Monday.
It may be that a small update is required... I don't know.
Your patience in the meantime is appreciated.
Hi Henrik.
The issue has been reported and we will further look into it.
Thankyou for your report
Hello. I know this thread is some months old but wanted to confirm the error. I downloaded v12 pro yesterday and have been working hard to get a functional stock control working. I encountered exactly the same problem as above and the suggested fix also worked for me. I think this should be one of those ASAP fixes for updates.
Now that it appears to be working it looks good, now to test it all ;)
Thank you
Hello Jason,
Thanks for your comments.
Actually, this thread is only a couple of weeks old (the post timestamps are in month/day/year format).
Like Stefano said, the developers will address this issue, and Incomedia have a good track record of fixing bugs in the software.
Kind regards,
Paul

Hi,
I have a lot of links to product pages, so it is not an option for me just to change file extensions to php. I would like to start using v12, and hoped the fix was included in the update, but no...
Another thing is default values - when I make a new product, I have to change resolution EVERY time. Now when setting a value in "Warn if quantity falls below" I need to change it EVERY time - could these values be remembered or placed in a INI-file?
Best regards
Hi Henrik.
Unfortunately, as of now, it is necessary to set the "Warn if" field for every product. You can however open an "Idea" post proposing your ideal way of doing it.
As for the .php extension, it should have been done automatically by the software if the elements in the page needed it.
If that was not so, please let me know and eventually, send me the project.
You can send us an email with the project file (the file with .IWZIP extension) as attachment to file@answers.websitex5.com using as Subject “Post 128703 per Stefano G.”
If your project size is more than 10 megabytes, you can use online services like www.wetransfer.com to send us your project.
To export the project you want to send us, please use the function “Export the Project” in Step 5 and save it in C://.
