Remove deleted project

I deleted a former project and now want to start a new one using the previous project name. When I try, I get an error message that says "A project with this name already exists. Choose a different name or delete the existing project."
How do I remove the previous already deleted project and free up its name?
As you can see in the attached file, it isn't listed to be re-deleted.

. . . first try to "rename" the project - loook up in the Incomedia "backup-directory" if there are copies of the old project and delete them . . .

What method did you use to delete the former project? Did you use the 'Delete' button within WebSite X5?
Check under the following path to see if any remnants of your project remain:
C:\Users\your_Windows_user_name\Documents\Incomedia\WebSite X5 v12 - Evolution
You should see several folders with names which correspond to your WebSite X5 projects. Look for the one which bears the name of your former project, and (if you are sure) manually delete it within Windows. Then try to create your project anew within WebSite X5.
