Possible upgrade from Website X5 Compact V8

I have been using Website X5 Compact V8 for some years and have 3 web sites being maintained by it.
I am now considering moving to a later version of Website X5.
Can you tell me if it is possible to upgrade to a later version in an automated way ?
If so, can you tell me the best way forward.
I want to avoid having to re-create my 3 web sites from scratch.

I am now looking for some help.
It would seem that to get to the latest version (V12), I will need to :-
1. Find someone that can convert my *.iwp files to *.iwzip
2. Process them in Evolution 9, ready for a further upgrade to V12.
Can anyone confirm this will work ?
