How can we add on shopping cart the possibility to apply a reduction voucher ?

if a client has bought in total for x euro, we would like to give him the opportunity to enter the voucher code (he or she collected through a social media campaign) to claim a reduction / or a present
how we can implement the use of such a voucher (code) in our Website X5 - V12 website, shopping cart ?
