Hi guys.

I am looking for some guidance on setting up e-commerce on my website.

I would like to set up my site so that stock levels are displayed and managed by a database. I understand that WebsiteX5 supports this using the Send to Database feature (as opposed to send to email). My webhosting comes complete with MySQL so I assume that I can do this.

Can anyone give me any pointers on how this is set up please? I know how to find the server name, the database name and password, but beyond that I am clueless. I don't know if WebsiteX5 builds the database for me (which I belive is called a table) or if I have to build the table myself and X5 populates it for me.

Any help would be gratefuly recieved.

Joe

Hi Joe,

if you want your orders to be sent to a database and not to an email address, you just have to select it at step 4 - e-commerce - send orders to a database.

Then WebSite X5 will build automatically your database table :)

Please let me know if I can help you any further! Thank you!
